For my area it wasn’t supposed to kickoff till 3 in the morning. Things started up about 4 hours ahead of time.

Sometime when you're talking about 3 inches or so, things start off early

North Pensacola. NWS just upped snow totals from 2-4” to 3-5”starting at 12 PM Tuesday, with an additional inch Tuesday night. Still dry here tonight. We will be a few hours behind LA.

No idea if we have gotten any snow yet or not. HOA implemented strict curfew from 6p to 6a.

Do you guys recommend just shutting water off and draining all the pipes in your house? I've never really had pipe issues before but this type of weather is rare here in Louisiana. Shutting the water off is inconvenient but I'm not sure. I don't have any pipes exposed they're all in the house or under the foundation so everything is insulated.

Just remove all pipes and reinstall them once it warms up.

I’m really hoping for less that 6”. Our HOA charges an “Excess Precipitation Fee” for anything over 6”. It was added in after 2016 for rain but they weren’t able to get a quorum at the emergency meeting when we tried to update it for snow.

Flakes starting to increase in size but still what you would consider a flurry. Harder but nothing crazy yet.

It’s been dissipating at the Mississippi River for about an hour or so now.

Are these weather projections real or exaggerated scare tactics?
They are projecting 5-6 inches here where it snows once every 20 years and has NEVER snowed more than 2 inches

I went outside just now and thought I saw a flake, but I think it's just all the hype getting in my head and these threads in here.
