Somehow Punta Cana never came up in my family even though my Grandfather was US Consul for the Dominican Republic and found the whole place to be, shall we say, primitive? After sending my mother to the local Catholic school for a few years, she was sent back to Virginia to live with cousins and go to school where English was spoken rather well.

Mid-teens for lows in West Central Georgia Friday morning and Xmas Eve morning. High of 25 of Friday. Right at freezing on Xmas Eve.
