I got nailed by a brown recluse two weeks ago. Wound is finally healing.

I had one of those that never healed. Dermatologist eventually just excised the wound and sewed it up. Then I had an allergic reaction to the sutures so I have a scar on my arm anyway.

Could we delete this thread, please? I'm getting a very nauseated feeling.

Yes, in a hospital, every day for like 6-8 weeks. I cannot describe the pain. I was in the hospital for several months and I was 7 years old. Do not wish it on anyone.

I got bit by a brown recluse. Never felt it. Didn't notice until I started to get fever symptoms and my calf started to swell.

No, but I’ve done the procedure on others.

So, without fail and with a wooden dowl in my mouth, my mom would proceed to leave the house then my dad would scrub my arm. Every Night. Scrub until it was bleeding all over the burn.

Damn!

She must have had vibrio. Bacteria found in water.

That might had been it, I can’t remember what they called it. I know it did a number on her legs. They were BAD!

Same exact thing except 31% of my body. Left leg, left arse cheek, both back of thighs and the top of my right hand.
I would pass out from time to time. I was six years old. Hospital for 3 months. No one can tell me or relate anything about real pain.

This guy wins then.

But yeah. Every moment of those nights is kinda seared into my memory. The brush, the noise. Just everything.

Alright so it gets worse - might as well. To the poster above who mentioned his burn and ripping his pants off - this is why my mom left the house. The burn came from liquid that seared polyester (thanks 70s) into my skin - and when she saw what happened she ripped my shirt off...and yeah.
