So, serious question, do people in Louisiana (the good upstanding baws that know their history) respect and/or appreciate William T Sherman?
I was not aware of his LSU connection. But I know how people in Georgia feel about him. I knew about him supposedly sparing Savannah because he loved the city (or bc he was a Mason). But generally I never hear people in the south with anything good to say about him.

The Sherman and LSU issue is a fairly complex one...
They’ll never name the ROTC building after him but there are a few of us working to get hold of a M-4 Medium Tank as a memorial...
The original cornerstone from Pineville is ion the left side in front of Memorial Tower and the cannon in front of the ROTC building have plates stating they were donated by Sherman.

Well they sure ask me for a lot of money to run their business every year. They also charge me a shite ton for my tickets and fees as well.
Maybe the need to run their business better.
