Hi LSU BOS/Admins/etc
Most of the alumni aren't melting like you've seen on TD the last 12 hours. Most of us will give Dr Tate a fair shot to lead our beloved university.
As level-headed educated individuals, we understand his personal thoughts and theories discussed in his publications will unlikely translate into policy at LSU.

I'm very willing to give him a chance, as the intent of my post was to give him some understanding of the history and undercurrents he'll have to deal with...
All things said, his boss at South Carolina, Bob Caslen would have been a FAR better choice if we could have gotten him...
