(yes I know it was more than likely a Belgian malinois or German shepherd... just go along with the joke huh?)

It was the same from 97-2001, but you could see what was coming. Gardere had a handful of white college kids. Tigerland was beginning to become inundated.
By the time I left Baton Rouge, no one would think to live around Gardere. Tigerland was a collection of old shitty complexes and condos.
It’s been years since I’ve been to Baton Rouge. Trying to keep the streak going, too.
Oh, and frick LSU and their BLM loving asses.

People are going to have to begin to wrap their minds around the concept of revitalizing areas rather than leaving these pockets of blight and crime to take root in the wake of their departures for the new shinny thing down the road. I think the area definitely needed new properties, but the sheer number of them built was irresponsible and not healthy for all of them trying to compete for the same market, especially in light of LSU now demanding Freshmen live on campus as they wanted to get a piece of that pie too.
It would be different if LSU was growing in enrollment, but that’s not the case, so all we do is rob Peter to pay Paul, and relocate. What becomes of those areas we moved from does not concern us, until we start scratching our heads in the near future over the condition of the area we vacated. It’s the same tune all over this city, not just college properties.
Nailed it. The only solution is local policy makers who make decisions based on what's best for the next 5 decades instead of the next 5 years. As long as this is still Louisiana we probably shouldn't get our hopes up.
It's not just BR. The burbs do the same shite, just with subdivisions. They're going to eventually ruin Ascension because of it. The developer makes his money, greases a few palms, and then all those people are long gone by the time the area is rundown.

Why is it the policy makers fault? The people who live there don’t share any blame for treating their home like a trash can? That’s how these places get rundown. No one gives a shite

Damn that's retarded.
LEOs can shoot dogs for basically any reason, but if you defend yourself from one of their attack dogs, it's the same as if it was a human being LEO.

Just shower a clip of body cam and it appears the suspect pulled a gun, they sent in the dog, and the dog was shot by cops when they engaged the suspect
Posted on 7/20/20 at 3:26 pm to TigersSEC2010
Suspect was a violent felon being sought as a fugitive for a domestic warrant

Quote from Murphy Paul.
"I have received permission from the family to release part of the body cam video."
You don't need permission from the family of a dead felon to release BRPD video. That was stupid.
Paul and Johnny Dunham seemed damn apologetic the entire news conference. Are we now apologizing for tracking down wanted felons?
