Daughter wants to go to Great Wolf instead of Disney

I'm not complaining - its at least a couple grand cheaper to go over to Dallas. Wife wants to go to down Waco to see some HGTV thing one day.
Any advice about Great Wolf? Seems to have good reviews.

It is a good one day trip. I would not go multiple days.

Went to the one in Cincinnati/Mason several years back and had a blast. Stayed 2 or 3 nights and it was plenty of time for us. By the wolf pass or some shite like that when you make reservations, it includes their interactive game that is throughout the hotel, glow in the dark golf game, and some other stuff that you would end up doing anyways. Save a little money there.

My wife really wanted to do Disney this year again before she outgrew it. Didn't count on her outgrowing it prior to this summer.
We were talking about it last night and she just out and said she really wasn't interested in Disney. She'd rather go to Great Wolf and ride roller coasters at Six Flags than do Disney. My wife may or may not have shed a tear.
We've talked about doing a small cruise in addition. But I don't want to do a trashy cruise.

Apparently I'm going with the fam to this Great Wolf thing in a couple of weeks. I have no idea what I'm getting into. Is it terrible? Staying Friday and Sat night...

Great Wolf is a one day trip. It gets old fast. Maybe try universal. It's the same thing. One day and your done. At least if you are there, you can do Disney or beach when y'all get bored. When you get bored of great wolf, you are in Dallas.

The grinding tedium of this will cancel out any benefit of going to Great Wolf over Disney.

Go to Disney for a couple of days, then rent a beach house in the Tampa/Clearwater area to relax some and wrap the trip up.

It's definitely not something you'd want to do more than two days. The park isn't huge and will get boring after a day. They have other things to do in the hotel like magic quest (scavenger hunt type thing), arcade, etc. But if you're planning to spend a week there....don't. Or try and do other things in the area. I think there is a legoland...maybe some other stuff.

No Canadians there because you have to swim, but everything is covered in s thin film of mildew. It stays hot and humid inside all the time, germs breed like swamp rabbits.
