This is a thread about Scientology.
There's no need to bash the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox Church here.
For those who want to understand the reasoning behind what Catholics believe about the Eucharist, Catholic Answers explains it all.

They were dating? Were they sleeping together when she awoke?
Confusing.

i find it hilarious how many downvote you, and i'd bet many are Catholics that are too stupid to understand what they are told they are supposed to believe
Southern Catholics are mostly Baptists with slightly different rules. They have no idea all the weird shite they claim to believe when they say they're Catholic.

Anybody who takes the time to be in a Church should take the time to learn the truth about their own church's theology.
For Catholics, here's where all of the theology is explained. There is no reason any longer for anybody to fail to know the truth about what and why Catholics believe.

quote:Yes to all of that, BUT, irrespective of that, it's always amusing to see people with crazy arse religious beliefs laughing at other crazy arse religious beliefs.
how an educated adult can still believe that crap amazes me. We had many arguments in religion class at my catholic high school about the magical world of Catholicism. They've always got that one word answer to tell you to quit being logical...... FAITH.
Just have faith man, stop using your brain and just believe what those terrorists from the middle east that have been fighting over this stupid shite for 5000 years said in that book that was "written" by politicians picking and choosing what they wanted to include and not include, and how they wanted to interpret it.
Xenu doing whatever Xenu does is exactly as likely to be true as water and wine turning into the blood and muscles of a 2000 year old zombie ghost.

Man, Scientology is so fricking weird.
Imagine if all the weird kids from high school started an exclusive club. They focused solely on recriminations from their perceived oppressors and gaining money.
They gained money, influence and power among a specific circle of people in a specific industry. They seek to leverage their power and money to ensure those offenses they endured are never experienced again and will punish anyone they view as an "oppressor".
That's Scientology.

Yeah, common sense says symbolism, but the Catholic church doesn't always use common sense...

You didn't read a word of it.

This thread has nothing to do with that.

A 2022 case over an alleged rape that took place in 2001 is disturbing.
The lack of a reasonable limitations period is ridiculous. "I was so upset I couldn't file suit for 20 years" is absolute bullshite. IF there are going to allow this ridiculously old cases to proceed, then the standard of proof should be very high - no convictions/judgments based on a swearing match.

a word of what? you have to type a question first in your website.
But if you were to type in transubstantiation, you'd get a really long arse explanation that basically says, yes its the body and blood of christ, his substance (whatever you think that means b/c no logical adult really knows what that hell that means), and if you test it it's not really going to be human body and blood b/c it will still have the appearance of a wafer and wine, but it's still his body and blood, trust me.

What conversation do you want? Scientology is batshit crazy and its adherents are clearly brainwashed - just like every religion. What point are you trying to make?

Do you believe there was once non-living matter on earth that somehow became living?
Or that some water bound creatures somehow developed lungs, and crawled out of the primordial ooze to live on land.
