As a society we have to meet in the middle on this topic. No weed is not heroin or even alcohol and no weed is not some safe magic cure it all either. Nothing is perfect, especially substances.
Well its not us that are pro that made it a fricking schedule 1 narcotic.
So basically our government thinks its the same level as LSD. Totally the same.

But don’t pretend there are no consequences when it comes to pot.

Actually, you cant, nor a breathalyzer. Those urine tests test for alcohol too.

How sad are you that you can’t ride anymore?
You are so so mad and desperate to hurt my feelings all because I said something negative about your precious pot. You don’t even realize how much you’re overreacting and coming across as being over-the-top sensitive to even the slightest criticism of pot.
You’re not exactly helping to counter the argument that it isn’t addictive.

Wouldn’t doubt it at all. Still shouldn’t be illegal

100 years later and we're still trying to sell this lie

Its crazy to think that distilled liquor has only been around a short time historically.

How many pots have you smoked today?
Zero I don’t like it. Used to be a pothead waaay back in the day but grew out of it. It’s not addictive though. At most you might form a psychological habit doing it, but that’s it and extremely easy to simply stop.
I’ve been legitimately addicted to other things and there is a vast gulf between the two. To compare the addictive qualities of marijuana vs essentially anything else (including nicotine) is misguided.

What lie have I fallen for? What I posted was a study from the National Institute for a health showing pot smoke has far more carbon monoxide and tar than cigarette smoke. Are you contending the NIH is lying? If so, I’ll need you to show your work.

I have ADHD (legitimately diagnosed by multiple doctors both medical and psychological) and problems going to sleep.
I'll take cannabis all day over the wildly overprescribed and under-estimated dangers of the adderhol, ambien, xanex, alcohol mixture everyone seems to be on the last decade. You can keep all that. I'll take cannabis over alcohol most days too.
Is sobriety healthier than drugs? Yes.
Are there risks associated with drugs? Yes.
Is it hilarious that every week there's a new hit piece out on how dangerous and terrifying cannabis is and rarely a peep about benzos and synthetic meth? Yes.

I always question articles that don't link the original study so that it can be reviewed without a bias from the article writer themselves.
That said, I'm curious about a few things:
- Has the overall incidence of diagnosed schizophrenia increased? As in, is it the THC causing it?
- Were they already predisposed to schizophrenia and it triggered what would've likely emerged without the THC as a catalyst?
- Why does this not affect women in the same way? The article said they found that it does not have a replicant effect at first glance in women.
We do know that high levels of THC can trigger underlying psychosis. That doesn't mean the THC is causing it. It's more an indication that maybe some folks should be aware of the risk if they're predisposed to certain mental health issues. Which is really no different than someone who has alcoholism in their family being aware that they could have genetic predisposition to that addiction.

Is this one of those studies where they had a robot smoke a joint and a cigarette the same way with the same amount of puffs and time span and then claimed that as proof?

I always lose it at the "nooooo" part.
Thanks for that clip. I've been trying to think of some old movies I wanted to rewatch and I completely forgot about that one. That's a good one for Sunday afternoon when LSU completes their sweep of Auburn.
