I know some of you other baws also have daughters (or sons, it's 2018) in dance competitions today.
These things are the personification of participation trophies. Everyone gets an award it seems.
And dance moms are insane.

Driving to Bama for another soccer tournament. Got off easy this weekend with 1:00 and 4:00 games today, 8:30 and maybe another on Sunday. Good times.

I went to many of my nieces dance recitals. Seems like the AC was broke many times that I attended. Recitals are way too long.

Fricking dance teams are nothing but bullshite shakedowns for a never ending demand for money. Days spent in Hammond at SELA and if you’re unlucky, you get to watch them dance in Disney World!
No problem with Disney but going there for anything but the parks, food and drinking is awful.

Had a daughter who competed until last year, she's move into exclusively ballet and is now a company member where she dances.

A few are, I guess, but most of the ones my daughter went to were very competitive. Three places in each category, occasionally 5 in the larger competitions. They do all get scored, though. Of course, that is just my experience and they only went to 2-4 competitions per year.
