Exactly!

It was a concerted effort to move power away from the workers to the owners. Capitalists. The right wing.
The government bent over backwards to basically every demand that the labor unions threw out there. I’m confused as to what the frick you’re talking about.

Did I just jump back in this thread to find out that Hitler was actually a leftist?
Hitler?
A leftist?
Hitler?
A leftist?

Well you are approaching this like a rigid Leftist ideologue. Of course capitalism sought to undermine Big labor unions. But It’s patently absurd to deny that labor undermined itself through greed and graft and ultimately by making many industries unprofitable and essentially killing that market domestically. They cut their own throats in Industry after Industry.

Unions were a de facto arm of government. The corruption and symbiotic relationship was uncanny.
Globalism killed unions more than anything

Yeah, I should have given up pages ago.
Again it demonstrates the totality futility of left vs right identity politics.

That's the point. It shows how the country has moved to the right. Which apparently is some huge controversial point for some reason.
(Not laughing at you personally, the others in this thread that are so personally offended by the concept.)

What is your understanding of left v right economically?
You've avoided the question related to Nazis.

Because there’s no evidence to back it up.

So far is in this thread after 11 pages, the only evidence you've tried to present to support this is that by your estimation, Nazi's were far right capitalists.

Hitler WAS a Leftist. A Leftist Fascist. A Racist genocidal Nationalist Socialist.
Just because these are outside your frame of reference or don’t really exist today, doesn’t mean he wasn’t a Leftist.
The Khmer Rouge were similarly screwy .simultaneously Leftist Socialist Genocidal and Nationalist.
What are the North Koreans?
Nationalist? yes.
Racists ? Yes.
Communists/ Leftists ? Yes
Genocidal? Sure.
Stalin? Leftist.
Mao? Leftist.
Castro ? Leftist.
Ho Chi Minh ? Leftist.
Pol Pot ? Leftist.
100,000,000 dead to Leftism in the 20th Century. Different Leftist schools. Some more Nationalistic, some more doctrinaire.

So you're cherry picking and using a few points to support an insane assumption?
Posted on 6/29/19 at 9:40 pm to EarlyCuyler3
Well it really just demonstrates exactly what they discuss in he podcast. How the goalposts have been moved on what is left and what is right.
An argument could be made that certain parts of Nazi Germany could be described as leftist by 2019 conservative standards of what it means to be left.
It’s absolutely a historic fact that Hitler was extremely anti-communist. He certainly wouldn’t have been considered left by the standards of his day.
The truth is that the further you go to one side of the spectrum it starts to circle back around and start to have some similarities to the extreme of the other side.

It is argued that Hitler was a leftist on the economy. That the National Socialist German Workers' Party favored a centrally planned economy.
I don’t know enough about it to have a position but price controls etc are definitely leftist ideals.

Bingo. I wish more posters here would be more open-minded and question their beliefs.
That said, I knew when I posted it what type reaction I was going to get. I just didnt expect positing that the country has shifted to the right and that Hitler being considered right were going to be the avenue of attack they chose. There was so much more juicy stuff they could have gone after.

Was he against communism in the social/political sense?
Because he pretty much did everything the Communists did.
