This. He is one strong man to get through that.

I'm assuming she died from Preeclampsia. I almost lost my wife during her first pregnancy to the same thing. The experience made me appreciate what I have in life so much more.
I watched, and I teared up. It's all part of life. I don't spend my short time on earth looking the other way.

Yeah no, I'm not watching that

preeclampsia usually isn't life threatening. a blood clot after surgery is more likely to blame.

Damn
My sister has been a nicu nurse for 8 years. I don't know how she does it

She died in her sleep, THEN they took the baby out.

Yeah I was about to point that out.
That video is heartbreaking to watch. What an amazing person though to want to sing a song for your dying newborn to provide him some comfort. I bet the sound of his father's voice singing to him was very soothing to him.

It's worth a watch. It's very profound.
Edit: Not to mention the guy played Blackbird like a champ.

When he sang the song his son was still alive. He died a day after this was filmed. At the time, he wasn't sure if his son would live/die.

I think that made the whole thing a little more heart wrenching. If he would have been some hack playing blackbird, i don't know if it would have the same effect.

Yeah, that sounded fantastic.
And for those not wanting to click the link, it's just the dude singing to his baby.
Without sounding like an a-hole, I almost wish this wasn't filmed...as much as I enjoyed watching it, that's a special moment between him and his son. But the flipside of that is that I guess now he can watch it any time and re-live it, so it's all good.

I just watched the video but that makes sense

Wife and I are in the final couple of weeks with number one. Hearing something like this just keeps reminding me to never take a day for granted.
