heart issue never detected
I think it's pretty rare nowadays.
Imagining etc has gotten really good.
Plus, these guys get extensive workups in the combine etc.

Damn, really? Even the commentator said he can’t recall an actual ambulance driving on field.
I've seen it 3 or 4 times over the years. Hell, it happened to the Tulane player Devon Walker not too long ago when relatively normal collision left him paralyzed.

I'm a firm believer in the show must go on. If he is stable, then play.
When Chuck Hughes dropped in a similar fashion they continued the game after he left in an ambulance and later died. Different times, but they played on back then.

His chest was caved in by the ball carrier’s helmet. So instead of allowing the defense to tackle, now defensive players are left defenseless, and this is what happens.
The hit. Put it on x25 speed
Hamlin was tossed a month ago for a shite call by the refs. These defensive players are taught to just stand there and absorb punishment so “no one gets hurt”
I’d bet if he squared up and it the guy like we were all taught in the 80s, 90s, early 00s, this wouldn’t have happened.

That was so odd. Seemed like a fairly routine play and he got up pretty normally at first. Hopefully the kid is ok.

I really hope you aren’t a real doctor but it wouldn’t surprise me.
Sorry to be the one to tell you and all the others here but any big hit to the chest has the potential to stop your heart.

Yea so leave it to the internet docs to crack this one
Let’s leave it to the doctors paid by the big pharma to crack it.

Refs and coaches meeting in the hallway outside the locker rooms.

It’s possible but hasn’t happened in modern day football soooo.

That helmet to the chest might have done some damage, or broken something that hit his heart.

ESPN really needs to go to another feed. Highlights or something from yesterday. We don't need to keep seeing them trying to fill air time when they have no info.

I guess you just expect something horrific like this to be from a violent head collision.

Prayers for this young man! It does remind me somewhat of Derrick Stingley Jr.'s grandfather, Darryl Stingley who was paralyzed in 1978 from a hit by Jack Tatum. It left him a quadriplegic.

4 people can’t do cpr and administer a shock inside and ambulance. They were trying to stabilize him before he left. Shock and CPR to get a rhythm and him breathing on his own. Much easier to do this on the field than in an ambulance.
