They must be hoping for some outcome next week that prevents the need for the game to be played

Why would I need to go to a different site when this thread is about what I am asking?

There are some posts in this thread that make you question if posting on this site is a good thing or not
Is this a moderation/censorship issue for you?
Is it a "reality-bites" issue?
Is it a, "Gee, Beav-- knock it off!" issue?
TD can be an echo chamber at times. I for one welcome a diversion of honest reactions -- whatever they may be.

God doesn’t choose which one prayed correctly.
Absolutely. But God does hear prayers. Which prayers he chooses to answer is His choice. After all, He is God. I would suggest the more prayers being offered on behalf of someone, the better. And I would add the more a culture and nation is committed to following the Laws of God, the more chances communal (and individual) prayer(s) will be heard and answered. Do you realize this Faith thing between God and Man is reciprocal, right? Since God is who He is, He does require a sign of Faith before He considers performing a miracle.
Fortunately, a scripture reading points out the need for persistent prayer.
"And he told them a parable, showing them that they ought to pray continually, and never be discouraged. There was a city once, he said, in which lived a judge who had no fear of God, no regard for man; and there was a widow in this city who used to come before him and say, Give me redress against one who wrongs me. For a time he refused; but then he said to himself, Fear of God I have none, nor regard for man, but this widow wearies me; I will give her redress, or she will wear me down at last with her visits. Listen, the Lord said, to the words of the unjust judge, and tell me, will not God give redress to his elect, when they are crying out to him, day and night? Will he not be impatient with their wrongs? I tell you, he will give them redress with all speed. But ah, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith left on the earth? - Luke 18:1-8
Sure this scripture dealt with a demand for redress of wrong done to the widow, but the message is clear - the need for persistent prayer.
And always, regardless of the outcome, we must remember,"The Lord Giveth and the Lord Taketh away. Blessed be the name of the Lord - Job 1:21.
So ultimately, it comes down to Faith. Remember, Jesus did say,"if you have faith, though it be but like a grain of mustard seed, you have only to say to this mountain, Remove from this place to that, and it will remove; nothing will be impossible to you".- Luke 17:19
I've lived long enough to have witnessed miraculous healings and the sorrow of unanswered prayer. My own life included.
In conclusion, maybe we should reflect on how we can love God more (and better) so that if the opportunity presents itself as an instrument of healing in others, we might be worthy of being that channel. It's a pity so many of us are not.
Happy New Year. A chance to begin again.

Last night, someone said there are 26 medical people on the sidelines of each game and got called out on it.
There are actually 30 (on avg).
From the NFL...

I thought they said 26 physicians

That airway guy finally got his day to shine. I hope he got it done quickly and efficiently.

I agree. Bills had a personnel issue. They should forfeit.

Ultimately, it’s unneeded and heartless.

but I don't see any way that it doesn't cause issues.
It will cause issues but far less than the blowback from the twitter mob screaming about how anyone can think of a game at this time. The Ripple effect of canceling the game goes from player incentives all the way down to stadium workers and local businesses who may lose revenue due to missing a home playoff game.

Heartless? I care about Hamlin's health. I don't care about Buffalo's record.

Kind of a big difference in these events. That was also easier to do being that it happened in September and not January.
Lots and lots of logistics and planning that would need to be totally changed as well as TV network issues. Your idea will not happen.

And what does it incentivize if not teams having to decide to play through these moments?
Both teams didn’t need to be on the field last night and nobody should be penalized for that

It is only a game, it is unneeded and heartless to resume play.
It is only a game, it is unneeded and heartless to make the Bills forfeit.
In a perfect World they would play it from where they left off, but we aren't exactly talking about getting two high school teams together at the local stadium on a Tuesday.
Bills forfeiting is the logical move.
