Ya exactly. I'm not saying everybody in the Uptown area are douchey. I'm just saying that there a quite a few of them there. For the most part Dallas people are extremely friendly and the stereotype of snobby rich people is completely unwarranted.

Dallas just lacks a lot of the subtlety among the wealthy you'll find in other communities. The people are nice and decent, it's just that striverism is the creed of all Dallas residents, truly rich and poor alike.
OP will have to deal with that regardless, might as well go all in. I suggest starting your night at MiCo in HPV and seeing where the night takes you.

I definitely see this to some extent, especially in the cars most people drive. But it isn't like this is Miami or Los Angeles, where everyone is trying to be as flashy as possible.

Well of course it isn't. Dallas residents think Miami and LA people are only stuck in those places because life dealt them a bad hand and they can't get to Dallas.
But yes, I understand your point. In my experience Dallas people aren't that snobby. The striver aspect is more about them advancing and keeping up, less about them advancing over or surpassing you, if that makes sense.

McKinney Avenue is defaulted since that's where a lot of bars are. You would have a good time bar hopping there. More college students in this area.
A little more "pretentious" area is where Kung Fu, Concrete Cowboy, etc. are. But you will definitely find some easy poon there.
Lower Greenville and Deep Ellum are a little more laid back crowds. Some good bars and food to check out there.

Just go to McKinney Ave in uptown. Go to Kung Fu or 6th street, they are right across the street from each other. Tons of hot arse and if you are confident you shouldn't have any problem. Both places will be pretty empty until 11 or so, but then crowded AF, so go a little early and get a buzz before the bar gets super crowded.
I don't understand all these people talking about Dallas people being snobby/pretentious. Who gives a shite? These guys will be here for the weekend and aren't trying to make life lasting relationships at the bar.
