True, but while it is nice, it’s still a stereotypical suburb.

A Canadian study about American cities will always be suspect.

I think the study is more about business and real estate and in that regard, Dallas is pretty strong.

Drama Queen. You mean the "city block" that's been on fire because that's all it is.

If you are into paying $8000 per month for a 100 sq. ft. plumbing capable "loft," plus building fees, plus major arse taxes, plus incredibly inept government, plus rampant out of control homelessness, plus exorbitant cost of living, plus......

Besides that, it's awesome!

Funny from a guy whose username comes from a scam run by homeless people in New Orleans.

Yea, we had friends on vacation there and they said unless you went downtown, you didn't know anything was happening. Portland is one of the great american cities.

You sound like you know very little about SF.

Obviously an exaggeration but I know enough to know that if you don't make tech money, it's a tough place to live.

I also know that the governor of California is a fricking dope. The mayor London Breed is not much better, and the DA, Chesa Boudin is a marxist revolutionary cuck.

So there's that.

None of the people I know are in tech...actually, I think the wife of one guy just got a job with Amazon but she is just a worker bee. I'm not saying they don't complain about the cost of living, but several of them could live anywhere in the country and they choose SF. The Bay area is an amazing part of the world.

That whole study is shite. No factoring in weather or traffic whatsoever. Don’t listen to Canadians about American cities.

If you had a single wall of one bedroom in your house burning, would you say that the house is “mostly not on fire”? No, your house is on fire. It just hasn’t spread everywhere yet. But the longer you leave it burning, the more likely that fire spreads

Dallas is now a shadow of its former self. The good suburbs(Southlake to Frisco areas) are head & tails better run now. When I moved here after Katrina it was great & had good leadership. Now the Libs have completely taken over the Mayor, City Council, & Court System & have started a huge descent. The County Judge Clay Jenkins(former Obama campaign Attorney) has more power than the mayor(who is terrible as well) & is trying to keep everything shut down per orders from his Dem overlords. It is still safer in Dallas than New Orleans but the Blue wave is taking its toll big time. If Joe/Blow gets in office God help us all.
