How does Dallas have a good location? Its location is probably its worst attribute.

Dallas has zero culture other than pretentious boozy brunches.

I lived there for 4 years and I loved the city but to claim it has a good culture or any culture at all is misinformation.

It is a 3 hour flight to LA. 2 hours to Denver.

Denver and been to NY on two dozen occasions. I loved the city Bloomberg and Giuliani created, but that communist groundhog killer has ruined the city to the point where I have no desire to visit it again at least until someone new is in charge. I’m looking for a video where this guy was in the middle of Madison Ave jaywalking on an intersection for 5 straight minutes with not a single car in sight. NYC is now a total shithole thanks to Bill De Blasio. Worst mayor in this country’s history.

I know it seems crazy that Detroit outranks Boise, but after the bankruptcy they got a lot of shite in line and the inner core of Detroit is fun and cool. That still leaves 80% as a violent mess.

But at one time, you didn't walk four blocks from hotel to office building in the heart of downtown for fear of robbery.

I've been a couple times. I absolutely love it out there.

But it would only be fun to live there if you were very wealthy.

I would put LA above NYC, tbh. They’re both liberal shitholes but LA at least has good weather and close proximity to beaches, mountains, etc.

You should research the Argentina/Chile wine regions and hit those up. Spend a few days in Patagonia hiking. It is on our list.

We did a week of that last year. 2 nights in SF, 4 nights in glen ellen on the Sonoma side which gave us 2 days of tastings in both Napa and Sonoma, then 2 nights in Sacramento got added on because of an incentive my wife won at the Michael David winery in Lodi.

It was 100% the best trip we’ve taken so far in 6 years together. 3-4 tastings each day, dinner around 5 since it’s 7 our time, then back home to watch the sunset, listen to music, drink more wine, and just relax. Highly recommend it. Our Airbnb was up in the hills in a very small town so it was so quiet and so nice.

It’s central so easy to fly anywhere, but that shouldn’t be too strong of a selling point unless you travel a lot for business.

the LA slander is hilarious. I understand this board is filled with southern diehards, but you can't honestly say that you would not move to LA if you could afford it. Mountains, beaches, perfect weather year round, some of the most beautiful women in the world, etc.
