You are focusing on the symptomatic aspect. But, his point I think is that unless this PD employee did some things in Duncan's home that defy logic and common sense, Ebola seems to be MUCH easier to contract than has been previously explained.

Around 8,000 infected in an underdeveloped, crowded, unsanitary region of millions in the since December. It isn't a deal breaker for humanity.
