It wasn’t just the heat it was like the air was stagnant. Same goes for the 2005 Tennessee game.

I was at that one and the Auburn 2013? Both were hot but I felt like I was baking at that App State game.

I was here for 1980 and 2011.

We did the grocery shopping there, but much preferred Carswell. Little further drive out to B52 country though.

2 kids born at Carswell. Is it decommed now too? Carswell had the best commissary/PX you're correct. They used to have a trailer set up to stop and get free aspirin/advil, rubbers, bandages.

Yeah and I want to go in my woods of my home and pick money from a tree, have a genie to rub and make three wishes and get skittles from the unicorns farts.

Remember this, we were putting shingles on a roof that summer. It was hot like dog piss.
From Wiki
The 1980 United States heat wave was a period of intense heat and drought that wreaked havoc on much of the Midwestern United States and Southern Plains throughout the summer of 1980. It is among the most devastating natural disasters in terms of deaths and destruction in U.S. history, claiming at least 1,700 lives[1] and because of the massive drought, agricultural damage reached US$20.0 billion (equivalent to $61 billion in 2018 dollars[2]).[3] It is among the billion-dollar weather disasters listed by the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration.
