They were watching the place
Props to the HOA plainclothes surveillance team. They're masters of disguise. The landscaper, the dogwalker, the cyclist are all watching you.

From Walker, in Livingston Parish to the Bridge at Tappahannock VA (over the Rappahannock River that is the main access to Richmond County)
a nearly straight line drive of 16 hours, 43 minutes and 1084 miles.
That's a lot of driving.
If they were expecting him to run to his Grandmother, watching the bridge at Tappahannock would be the only entrance into that county from the west, south or east that wouldn't go way out of the way.

According to his mother's Facebook page, his mother was from Warsaw, VA. This must have been the maternal grandmother.
Wonder if he was going to kill her, as well. She'd just lost her daughter by his hand, so he couldn't possibly believe she was going to help him. Smart move on her part to go to a hotel and stay away from her home other than being there with law enforcement.

Temporary insanity plea or some sort of mental problem I'm sure will be floated around. Only way this shite stain has a chance of getting off.

OT claiming this is a slap in the face to the real LEOs who caught him
The OT has some great things in the past, but stop claiming this one.

Temporary insanity
Temporary Insanity is rarely used as a defense, and it is extremely rare for it to be used successfully.
The fact he drove to another parish to kill his parents after his first murder spree nullifies any chance he had at that defense. Temporary Insanity is a momentary condition.

He didn’t kill his mother. He killed his step mother.
His mother died of cancer.

Cause the other Parish ain’t got its shite together yet.
Um didn’t his parents survive long enough to tell police their son shot them? The other 3 in Livingston parish still has to be fully investigated.

From our law partners in Richmond County:
SHERIFF’S DEPUTIES TAKE HOMICIDE SUSPECT INTO CUSTODY
On January 26, 2019, Sheriff Steve Smith and the Richmond County Sheriff’s Office received notification of an ongoing homicide investigation in Louisiana. The suspect, Dakota Theriot, was believed to have family ties and lived in Richmond County. Deputies with the Richmond County Sheriff's Office began checking places Theriot was known to associate and investigating other leads regarding his potential location. During this search, Deputies received a request from a family member of Theriot's to check a residence prior to their return in the 14,000 block of Historyland Highway. While Deputies were on site, Theriot arrived at the residence in a motor vehicle with a firearm pointed out of the window. The Deputies sought cover and challenged Theriot, who then dropped the firearm upon their commands and was taken into custody without incident. Theriot was transported to the Northern Neck Regional Jail, and is currently being held without bond pending his appearance in court.

That's odd because on his father's FB page, in September of 2016, he wrote he'd been married to his current wife for over 23 years and this boy is 21, plus the current wife is from VA and he went there to his grandmother's house. I haven't seen any reference to a bio mom dying of cancer anywhere. Can you direct me to that?
ETA: Her FB page says she's been married since 1993.

This article has a little more information on the family. Apparently, he lived in VA for some time growing up. The grandmother lives in Warsaw where the Mom was from, as well.
Billy Ernest's wife and one child living in the home were not there at the time. The children are with her now.

What a dipshit. He got that far and went to a relatives house. No one would ever figure that out
Posted on 1/27/19 at 4:19 pm to TDsngumbo
Public records show that he was living in French Settlement. There would probably be no records of him living at the girlfriends because he would not have signed up to pay any bills there.
They are reporting that his father was alive and told the investigating authorities that his son did it. They are not saying the wife was still alive.
Have any of his friends/acquaintances been interviewed by the press yet? Driving to Ascension to kill his parents makes no sense. What was his grudge with them?
Also, did he work anywhere or was he a videot?

premeditated doesnt matter. I could plan a murder as long as I want and still only get charged with 2nd degree.
No. Just no. That’s not what the statute says. Each number there is just another option that it can or may not satisfy. It doesn’t mean that all 12 must be satisfied in order for someone to be charged with and convicted of 1st degree murder.
This is elementary shite.
