quote:

J Keith is not a happy man (and lets’ face it, who would be in this situation)–After noticing an old man in a red car taking pictures of his girlfriend and his two kids, J Keith confronts him and asks him what the heck he’s doing.

The creep’s reply was “I am taking pictures of adult females and kids.” but then sped off.

So, the guy put up a cash reward asking for info and after finding out the guy’s address he heads round to his home to confront him. Watch the video to see what happens next.

——————————————————–

In the words of J Keith:
“After leaving lakeside today with my two children and a friend, I noticed an old man in a red Cavalier holding a camera in his car taking pictures of my friend and my two kids. At first I thought it maybe just a coincidence then I noticed him taking another picture of another attractive female.

I immediately approached the man and asked what he was doing. He simply said “I am taking pictures of adult females and kids”. I snapped since I knew he had taken one with my kids in it as well. he then jetted off before I had a chance to do anything further.

A few days later, since the police had no leads, I put up a cash reward for finding him. Ten minutes later, I had all the information I needed.”

He knew better than to get an assault charge out of the deal so he went the public humiliation route. It would have been hard not to kick his arse though. Hope he told the wife what he found.

My God, the dad handled that soo much better than I would have. I give the dad all the props in the world for keeping it together.

Is he a pedophile? You can't go to people's homes and just start yelling and making demands. He was in fact taking pictures, but there was no unlawful activity being filmed. The dad was closest to being unlawful. Is it weird? Yes, but unless I missed something not against the law.

It isn't illegal to take pictures of anyone....

....unless, of course, the underage person(s) are naked.

It sucks...it's bullshite....but the guy did nothing illegal at all. That perv didn't have to do shite. He's obviously mentally off...for 2 reasons. 1. doing some of the sick shite he did. and 2...for not telling the guy to go frick himself and get off his property.

Last Halloween, we were trick or treating with our son and a group of parents with kids. After handing out candy, one homeowner took out his camera and starting snapping pics of each boy. While it sounds innocent enough, it was creepy as hell and I wasn't cool with it at all. Funny how some things are completely different when you're a parent.

This. Props to the Dad for not torching the house or go in guns-blazing....but in the eyes of the law, he was more in the wrong right here.

There is no expectation of privacy in public.

I understand parents being very protective of their children because it's plain human nature and it should be......

but I don't see why this is creepy. yeah...obviously the guy could be a perv....but...maybe the guy enjoys halloween and likes to appreciate people's creativity. Maybe the guy has a young nephew and wants to give him some ideas for next Halloween. just saying that in this particular situation, there are plenty of logical reasons why he wants to take pictures of kids in halloween costumes.

ETA: I also realize that the very last sentence could have been worded differently to come off as being less creepy. Blame bourbon for me not being able to word a sentence in a way that suites my point.

Justifies taking pictures of kids, and has picture of "Herbert the Pervert"

you suspect!

Yeah, I get that. It just felt wrong. You should always ask someone's permission before you take photos of their child under any circumstances but this whole situation just felt weird. It wasn't just a snap or two. He took a lot of pics in the time it took for me to notice he was taking photos, watch to see why he might be doing it, decide whether I should say anything and walk up the long sidewalk to his house.

In my defense....I backed getting rid of Col. Rebel and I made the picture in my avi in a mocking sense of how shitty the costume(especially the worn out, smelly as hell replica) is.

I also understand the delicious irony of what I've said in this thread vs. what you've just pointed out.

Well done, sir.
