This story is actually quite interesting.
On the one hand, you might say, “It didn’t take The Great Carnac to see that one coming. What did everyone expect would happen?”
On the other hand, we have a running narrative in current society that says “we are incarcerating too many people! They’re just drug crimes. Non-violent drug crimes!”
“For the love of mankind, they MUST be released! “
So, which is it?

So are we supposed to be mad at the judge, or thank him?
And what do we do with the shooter, assuming we find him? I guess he can't go to OPP right now?

I bet the price of heroin and cocaine have gone up quite a bit during this pandemic. Supply has had to take a hit and the demand never decreases so I’m sure there is quite a bit of panic going on.

I'd like to know the percentage of hits to misses with the assault rifle

Meth is hovering at an all time high due to lack of production of precursors from Chy-na.

Hunting rifle...not an assault rifle:
Assault rifle:
Both the same caliber. Both can hold a magazine. Both semi automatic.
Calling the black gun assault rifle seems racist.

Will the media count this as a Coronavirus death?
I mean, it is related.

Released with a racketeering charge does not compute for nonviolent offender.

Gotta be honest, I was against letting out prisoners because of Covid 19. But if things keep working out like this, keep it going.

I’m sure he was roaming the streets looking for a chance to turn his life around

Seems like for once the judge did something right. Saved the state some money.

Thank goodness COVID-19 didn't kill him...

I wonder if he’ll be classified as a Covid-19 related death?

33-year-old Glynn McCormick was shot more than a dozen times around 3:15 pm Sunday near the corner of Dumaine and North Broad streets by someone with an assault-style rifle.

Cannizzaro’s office said McCormick, described as the leader of a “violent heroin-dealing enterprise,” was awaiting trial for racketeering
well, he wasn't wrong.
