I don't maybe, but he still fricked a 16 year old.

Look, that is not really my point anyway. Its that this chick was a child that was horribly abused and had absolutely no mental capacity or maturity (or age) to receive a life sentence for killing that guy.

She should've just been sent to a psych ward in the first place.

Think I also read that she lied about her age to the guy.

Maybe but she lied about self defense and pawing the guns then told the truth. So I believe she knew what she was doing. I don't think she should have gotten life tho. She has had a fricked up life since birth and needs some help BIG TIME>

She killed the guy while he was sleeping and robbed him. Probably should have done at least 10 more years. Fell sorry for the victims family.

that's probably what got the conviction and sentence right there, killing to get out of live as a "sex slave?" OK, but taking time to loot, pillage, and pawn? not so fast!

So? Many places thats not illegal, BUT many places it is illegal to murder someone.

No difference in a 16yo boy humping 16yo girl, and a 20/24/30/35+ yo man humping her if she is ok with it other than a subjective line that was created in her state. Cross a few TN borders, and things will be different for those citzens.

That was not the motivation to the killing. She returned to her captor after the killing, looting and pawning.

Is her pimp still alive and free? If he is she'll be back on the streets working for him in no time.

makes it look even worse, she's a soldier for her Capo, ain't saying it's right or wrong, just saying that's probably what got the conviction/sentence because those are criminal acts, not desperate acts of a victim

Good to see. The justice system is far from perfect and it's good she doesn't have to stay in jail forever because she was trying to protect herself.

But it's the truth, and you cant argue otherwise. No need to use her age as part of justifying she should be let go after murdering a guy.

Did her pimp order her to do this?

I am just using this as an example, but wasn't one of the women who was part of the "Manson Family", who killed someone... Get paroled? I know a few (or at least one) got life, but maybe she did it out of fear of her pimp.. I understand she still did it, but she was 16.

I have no problem with the system determining that 15 years for killing the customer of your violent pimp is enough.

But I do have a problem with the communities promoting her release (celebs and "Women's March") because they're willing to blatantly lie to sell a narrative, even if the objective is just.
