Can't make this shite up.

And in another post you said we shouldn't pity a man for being murdered because he wanted to pay for sex?
Calm down.
I pointed out I don’t understand the empathy for Johnny’s desires to ethically purchase sex from a 16 year old prostitute conflicting with the empathy for the decisions this young girl made that night.
All I said was he should not have solicited a 16 year old prostitute from Sonic.

This is what everyone is not catching reading between the lines of her original conviction. No one bought her story or she wouldn't have been convicted in the first place.

She didn't kill her pimp. The amount of posters here that can't read is disturbing
SO WHAT? She killed the John instead and returned to her pimp for drugs and shelter. It’s very sad. She was a 16 year old prostitute.

So you think the penalty for soliciting a prostitute should be death?

You know for certain he set out to find a 16 year old prostitute? There is no way he was under the impression she was 18 or older?

She told him she was 18

So what? Really? That's what's wrong with idiots that defend her. They fell for the "shes a victim" bullshite. Yeah, she was a victim if sexual assault by her pimp. He probably raped and drugged her for years. She should've shot him. Not the guy that DIDNT rape her.
I hate that she ended up in the way of life she did. That's awful. But that does not excuse cold blooded murder. Shes a murderer. Murderers belong in prison. Not made out to be a victim of racism.
The second she pulled that trigger she deserved to be in prison. Past be damned.

No.

I don’t know and didn’t say that was his intention. It is simply what happened.
They both committed crimes. One an an adult, one an abused, addicted child prostitute. They both suffered. She is being offered a chance at redemption and forgiveness.
Why the hell is anyone against this?

To be very clear, I am NOT against her getting a second chance. People deserve second chances.
I am against the way her and her case have been portrayed in the media. They played it as a race issue and unfairness in the justice system towards black people. They used that to avoid showing the facts of the case.
That's what I'm against. Not second chances.

She murdered and robbed a John after getting him to let her into the house. Bringing a gun would seem to indicate a premeditated situation. Probably a scheme cooked up by her pimp, but maybe she wanted to make a little just for herself and thought she could score off the john. I'd have left in for another 20 years.

I think that common sense and compassion prevailed.
Technically Johnny Allen paid to have sex with a child, but she told him she was legal. So you forgive him.
Are you sure he’s a good martyr? Or does this annoy some of y’all just because celebrities complained about it?

From TMZ
“Cyntoia, imprisoned for 15 years for killing a man who was allegedly using her as a sex slave when she was 16, has just been granted clemency by Tennessee Governor Bill Haslam. She's set to be released on parole supervision Aug. 7.” LINK
Really bad info getting put out

We agree.

I am against the lies and disinformation.
The facts of the case are clear. She murdered a sleeping man for the purpose of robbery.
14 years and 50 hours of community service seems like a short term for a cold blooded murder.
However, life in prison for a crime committed as a 16 year old also seems excessive. She should be given a second chance at some point. Two-thirds of the parole board voted against parole.

Technically he did. Yes. Not knowingly. And that does not warrant a death sentence. Nor should it have just an "oh well" response.
It annoys the frick out of me the way celebrities complained. Because they didn't find out the facts. They ran with what they read on social media.
They made her the victim of her murdering a man.

O come on!!
It seems like an offending issue to some of you is media involvement in her fate.

I'm more offended by the numerous people that called me a racist and a white supremacist for informing them that their information was incorrect.

People that I no longer consider friends. Coworkers that I already didnt particularly like, but now loathe their very existence. I'm used to being called a racist
I went to several schools that were at least 65-70% black students. I got called racist often just for being white and not feeling guilty about it.
It's not being called that really that bothers me. It's the fact that it's people that I expected more out of doing it. People I once respected completely ignoring the truth because it doesn't fit their narrative.
I dont care what color your skin is, you do the crime you should serve your time. You shouldn't be able to buy your way out of jail time. You shouldn't be able to pity your way out. frick skin color. Your blood runs red, same as mine.
