If it were not for the orange letters in the tiles visible on the wall, that could be in just about 99% of the restaurants in this country.

So true. If customers could see the kitchens from which their prepared food comes, the restaurant industry would collapse.

While it has been 30 years I worked in several kitchens in my younger days and I have never seen one that looked anything like that.

I don't think this is shocking for anyone who worked in the service industry. shite gets dirty when you are busy. Had he been there when they opened it would have been clean because there's no way the manager lets them leave at night until its clean

Same here. The only kitchen I saw that look like that was Hook'd Up in Madisonville. I never worked there but my friend took it over after the landlord kicked out the Hook'd Up people. It was a mess.
On the other hand, I used to work in Commanders in my 20s and the chef would call a spot clean in the kitchen about a dozen times a night. It didn't matter if you were plating food for Tee Brennan...you stopped and cleaned when you were instructed to do so.
