My one-year "free" subscription is set to expire in May. I've been receiving offers for SiriusXM for the last 2 or 3 months and have ignored them. I plan to renew as I like their service, but have been hesitant until I received their latest offer.

Monthly: $16.99
6-Month: $5.00 per month
1-Year: 99.00 (Introductory Rate)

On paper, it looks like 6 months is the best and least expensive option. Has anyone had success in getting the 1-Year subscription at $5.00 per month as well?

Or do you have to play the game every 6 months?

I don't know how they can live with themselves charging people during this crisis. Millions of Americans laid off, they need to make it free.

It's not a necessity, in my opinion. More of a luxury and those that want it should have to pay for it.

Someone had a thread a few weeks ago asking the same. Maybe someone posted later in the thread about a better price, but that seemed like it.

All of my offers have been for 4.99 or 5 a month.

I decided I didn't want my service anymore so I told them to cancel it. They kept sending me threatening mail & email about paying my bill. It's a total bitch to try and cancel your service, and you're dealing with non-Americans.....Frick that shitty company.

They will likely give you a small discount if any. You will actually have to cancel.

Then, about 2 weeks later you will get a mailer saying they want you back for 5 bucks a month for the next year

I get that stimulus money, I’m paying mine off for a year again. I have my Dad and his wife on a family discount plan to.

Only reason to listen to regular radio is Rush Limbaugh. Love SiriusXM. Just negotiate with them for a good deal

The last time I tried to cancel, they offered to pay me $3.50/mo to keep it.

Does anyone just have it on their phone so they can use it with in multiple locations, not just in your car?

I'm guessing you gotta pay more for that, if it exists?

Don’t forget this comes out to $6.06/month when you add in the royalty fee.

I've never had an issue with customer service with Sirius. But I bought a lifetime subscription back when that was offered, about 15 years ago. Best $500 that I've ever spent.

I pay for the cheaper service on my second car....maybe I should cancel that one and re-up when this is over. Not doing a lot of long drives right now.

I have a lifetime so this does not apply to me but it seems this thread pops up frequently and the consensus is you have to play the game and call them to and say you are cancelling to get the best deal.

I guess I was right after all. And people were trying to tell me the Golf Channel wasn’t essential.
