Projected to run out of names on the 2020 list and have to go to the Greek alphabet.

I’m not going to lie, I kinda want to see what happens in future years if “Hurricane Alpha” deserves to get retired. Do they skip and go straight to Beta, use another phonetic alphabet? What’s the plan here...

changed their predictions, just like the Covid death rates.

apparently their isn't a single agency who can make a prediction that isn't debunked, revised, or flat arse wrong.

I just googled it. They don't use Q, U, X, Y or Z.

This is the dumb part. Why make a prediction if you will change it at some point? Make the prediction then at the end of the season say you were wrong or that you were close, but changing it solves nothing.

Well if a big hurrakin hits Houston, it’ll fill up New Orleans hotels and boost our tourism industry briefly.

They’re admitting they were wrong and fixing it.

There’s nothing bad about that

It's like accurately predicting the number of huge upper-atmosphere disturbances that will form over the course of several months and travel thousands of miles is difficult or something.

Those agencies should be prepared accordingly no matter what.

If it's headed to Houston that usually mean New Orleans is in the cone as well
If anything they would head north to Austin/Dallas area
