CSB: That's Racist!

Nice little example to show the prevalence of accusations of racism in our society today.
I had a student come to me yesterday to tell me that another student was making racist remarks about her. I asked what the other student had said. She told me that the other student was saying that she was fat, that she was ugly, and that she wasn't wearing any socks. I told her that I would take care of it, but asked how any of those things were racist. She had no answer.
The perception being taught that literally anything is racist is real.

Did you educate her on what the term racism means....I hope you did.
But the fact that the younger generation calls those things "racist" is scary.

The perception is that if anyone says anything negative about a person of a different race, ethnicity, religion, or sexuality then it means you are racist.

The actual definition of racism is pretty much dead nowadays, due to it being so overly used and diluted.
Modern racism is just anything a non-minority says/does that a minority doesn't like.
