Then get aged steaks in the steakhouse every night, and pasta or burritos in the build your own sections.
Plus the BBQ on the Lanai was really good. Buffet wasn't bad at all. They had a carving station and the Indian Food at the Tandoor station and the Mongiolian BBQ were both really good.
I thought the Pizza sucked and the Burgers and Hot dogs were just okay. Food in the Main Dining Room was excellent for a cruise. They have gone back to Maine Lobsters.

FIFY. Not everyone has that much to spend on a vacation. Cruises are fun if you aren't a pretentious douche bag.

For exactly $3870 for four people (2 adults/ 2 kids)
I got the seven day cruise with a Balcony on Deck 10 (Lido).
Prepaid Gratuities
All inclusive day for four to Nachi Cochum, Cozumel
Cab ride there and back
Golf Cart rental in Cost Maya
Food and drinks in Mahaual and Souvineers
4 liters of crown bought on the ship (for $72.99)
Extra tips
$200 in pictures bought on ship
Access to Little French Key , Roatan, Honduras*
Casino gambling
Lots of Drinks
All that included food and entertainment
souvenirs from the boat
And a week of relaxation.

No worries about traveling or getting around, except for the ports.
Though I will go to Roatan for my next trip without the cruise, I want to explore the island more.

Seven day cruises don't really get the poor trashy people. Even the interior goes for big bucks. I saw the fatasses who tie up the elevators to go up or down a floor and the kids running the halls are the worst part of carnival. But they thing is, those problems are on the 'better' lines as well.

Having said that, the five day and shorter cruises do get a lot of the trash, so I try and do a week when I go.

Carnival Cruises aren't my ideal vacations. Pretentious it is. I am very glad that you think they are fun and that everybody who doesn't is pretentious. You my friend, are the open minded one .

Saying it isn't ideal doesn't mean you wouldn't have fun. You yourself said you would have fun. So clearly my post is not directed at you.

But thanks for trying to twist my words.

I didn't twist your words . You said it. I could have fun, but to think anybody who doesn't enjoy it is pretentious? That's silly.

With enough booze, I'd have fun anywhere.

There is a difference between ideal vacay and not having fun.

And I stand by my words as I wrote them. If you can't have fun on a cruise, something is wrong with you.

I'm leaving March 8th out of Tampa on NCL and it seems to be close to the same as your trip. Honduras , Belize , Costa Maya , Cozumel. Did you enjoy the ports? Any excursions or activities you would recommend in any port? How was Honduras?

You can usually catch either the Oasis of the Seas or the Allure of the Seas out of Ft. Lauderdale. Those 2 are the biggest ships in the world.

You can also size down to the Independence of the Seas or one of the sister ships. Those are also very nice.

Also, the Ft. Lauderdale airport is 5 minutes from the port.

Oasis of the Seas is such a large ship, are there issues getting around on the boat due to the enormous amount of people onboard? Show and dining availability a problem?

We went on the Norwegian Epic in the Western Med.
last summer and though it is one of the larger ships all the venues were built to accommodate all the extra people.

Not mine either but wouldn't turn one down. If you can't enjoy a cruise, something's wrong with you.

Carnival has some decent ships. They are on the low end of the price scale so you get younger folks, regular middle class folks. Unless the ship breaks down or a virus sweeps the cruise, it's not hard to enjoy yourself on any of the ships.
