Some CFer must have fricked your girlfriend, or your perceived expert ability in one thing is considered fringe by the CF community to a point that it pisses you off to no end.

Please link or show how you or another crossfitter could compete at even high school levels of the sports mentioned in crossfits own bio???

I dare you. Triple dog dare you. Otherwise you are a kool-aid drinker.

Well similar to how that article refers to marathoners and powerlifters as fringe athletes, we should also refer to the elite in any sport as fringe athletes. By definition, they are far outside the abilities of most people regardless of type and level of training.

Froning was born in Mount Clemens, Michigan. He moved to Cookeville, Tennessee, where he currently resides. There he attended Cookeville High School where he played baseball and was an all-district, all-region second baseman. He also participated in football. Upon graduating in 2005, Froning received a baseball scholarship to Walters State Community College. Soon after, Froning decided to end his baseball career, and began working at the Cookeville Fire Department, while continuing his studies at Tennessee Technological University. While working out with the fire department, Froning became interested in CrossFit, which he soon developed a passion for and in 2010, he began coaching and competing.

All district/region HS in baseball, who had a scholarship to play at a community college and worked for the fire department.

Triple dog dare accepted.

So you think this elite trainer trains an NFL safety the same as a triathlete or a marathoner. Same skill sets right, I mean they must be, or why the frick would you mention it in this context

But no one suggested that, it only said that these specialized athletes are not trained in all aspects of fitness. That is it...goddamn. What is wrong with you

I don't like the athlete part of the description, but yeah, a lot of times these elite athletes in many sports have trained themselves into being absolutely unbelievable in a very specific task..at the risk of being less effective at others.

A left handed starting pitcher has a different skill set and needs to perform his trade, than say a positional player such as a shortstop. One is more fit than the other....the one that can perform the highest over muliple domains...and it usually isn't the specialty athlete. Usually....not a bad thing, not everything has to be good or bad..

Not because of his crossfitting. He was already a stud baseball player years before.

His point is that these guys couldn't compete at HS level sports.

I just proved they can with the most obvious of all CF athletes. CptBengal, even with his hate of CF, will agree that these elite CF athletes were athletes in other sports before jumping into CF.

You lost the argument, so whine now? I'm conservative by the way, so....my point is you can't prove crossfit claims, but keep on trying....why don't they compete in real sporting events if they are so fit and athletic? They can't.
