An old wise man once said to all athletes "Those who eat crispitos play like crispitos." That may be true, but I went to my son's school to eat lunch with him today and, my god those things are amazing. Way I better than I remember when I was in middle school.

I gave a presentation at my wife's school the other day and was served lunch by the PTO. The cafeteria was serving crispitos and my wife had to physically restrain me from bailing on the home cooked food to go get some.

they are outstanding. I once referred to them as "shite in a sack". amazingly I am still alive today despite devouring those things every week, complete with glow-in-the-dark cheese.

Crispitos are actually a distinct part of my worst memory from high school.

We had lost a football game the previous Friday night. Crispitos were on the menu at lunch that Monday, and I got two helpings, an Otis Spunkmeyer muffin, and a Yoo-hoo. Then went to practice and got put through a gauntlet of torture drills. I puked like six times and my coach kept calling me a pussy who didn't care about winning. I thought I was going to die.

I really don't think any day was worse than that. I really don't think any coach could get away with that nowadays.

If I had to choose one food to eat every day for the rest of my life it would be the Why Not Stop chicken/cheese crispitos.

I recently learned how to make them at home since I loved them in high school. Got pretty damn close to what I remembered. My wife and I have them every Wednesday night. She used to have them in high school as well and she craves them.

They're pretty easy to make and you don't have to deep fry them
