Cringey thing you did as a dumb teenager

The Texas A&M cringiness going kind of viral had me thinking. What stuff did I do that I cringe at?
When I was maybe 15 the summer after 10th grade I did a “leadership” program. Basically two weeks of visiting non profits and small and large companies and government agencies to learn how they worked and doing problem solving challenges over time as well. We also researched worthy organizations and reached a consensus about which one to award a scholarship to. This is obviously somewhat of a serious atmosphere to teach you about the real world.
Because I am an idiot, during one of the exercises, my friend who was doing this with me, was able to convince me to quote step brothers during a group wide presentation as a joke. Specifically the line “we’re snapping necks and cashing checks”. It did not land.
Looking back at it I don’t know how I didn’t jump out the nearest window afterwards and to this day it makes me cringe up when I remember I did that. Thank god it is not on video. I know the odds of me ever seeing any of those people again is scant. The odds of them remembering it are also low. But Jesus I feel so cringe that i did that.

The speech teacher was a very forceful personality and liked having athletes in her classes. She wanted me in the speech program. I showed up the first day of school and there it was on my schedule. As a dumb teenager I didn't realize I had a vote in the matter (her own son was smarter than I was and said no fricking way). I was in several productions, all of which were cringeworthy in the extreme.

This is bad, but I was in 8th grade. There was this girl who was a cheerleader in HS I had a crush on. Long story short, someone encouraged me to write her a letter.
Before the game, as her and the rest of the cheerleading squad was going down to the field I went give it to her. She read it on the spot, crumpled it up, rolled her eyes then as she went to catch up with the other cheerleaders.
I thought it was a sure thing she would like me after reading the letter. I was confident as hell and convinced myself she was going to like me
so when she crumpled it up and rolled her eyes at me it felt like a gut punch.

One time in high school, I approached a freshman that I heard was talking shite about me. Knowing i had no real chance,I summoned my posse of muscle to help me take care of the problem. Now keep in mind I'm a senior and much bigger than this scrawny kid but I needed to make a statement and show the other kids at school who really ran the show. You don't understand what these kids did they acted like a senior couldn't tell them what to do. I think it's kind of like this board and people like Jones and 08 who think they can bully me but really the just need someone to muscle up in them. But I really do believe that tigerdroppings is a great place to talk to people and shoot the shite and I don't take it too seriously and I also like ice cream too. If you're ever in baton Rouge make sure to hit up the marble slab it's got pretty good toppings. Yeah I'm doing fine.
