Criminal Reform

All this talk of police reform and no talk of criminal reform. How about people stop doing stupid shite? Stop putting themselves in the position to have a run in with the police. And if they do have a run in with the police, why not just obey and not cause issue?
Why isn’t there talk on both sides? Yea some cops are corrupt, but if you are actually innocent you shouldn’t have an issue.
This society is martyring criminals. They don’t see what they did you put them selves in position to be shot at. It’s outrageous. Cops put their lives on the line every day. How are they now allowed to defend themselves.
Yes what happen to George Floyd was completely wrong and terrible. But to ignore the fact that he was in the middle of an illegal act and on drugs at the time is ignorant.

We would have fewer criminals if we had fewer laws. Less police interaction with the public.

You're not gonna end cops running amok over civilians until the war on drugs ends. Civil asset forfeiture, dogs justifying car searches, no knock warrants in the middle of the night... if these stay in place, nothing will change.

Because a counterfeit $10 bill isn’t an excuse for murder.
“Disrespecting” someone isn’t a cause for murder.
If I go to the bar and badmouth the biggest sob in there and he kills me he’s at the least going away for manslaughter.
A badge isn’t a license to kill and if you can’t handle people insulting you, spitting on you or fighting you without killing them. Then maybe you should go put in an application to go offshore because being a cop ain’t for you.

You post several things I agree with and it seems like things are slowly getting better regarding those.
Still doesn’t change the fact that low IQ street punks are still going to commit crimes, over and over again and have to put police it terrible situations.

I agree. Thank god it only happens extraordinarily rarely. You are a thousand times more likely to be killed by a criminal than a cop. I made that stat up. It’s probably even more than that.

But they'll be able to concentrate on actual crime. I absolutely don't argue that crime will disappear in any manner. No more pointless, negative interactions with law enforcement would be a blessing for all sides.
