What about the trend going to the compression underpants that go all the way down to the knees or ankles?
Actually, I sometimes rock that style because I have varicose veins. So I wear a size smaller than I should and they are better than the medical-grade compression stockings that resemble pantyhose.

I have all diff length socks.
I dont mind long ones at times. Wear with boots in winter. Also can keep the bugs off the ankles or grass out of my socks doing yard work.
If im wearing boots im not going to change socks putting on tennis shoes at the gym after work.
