Yea I did pants size. Military we measured top of hip through belly button. That was always close if not my pants size depending on the brand.

About a 37 inch waist, that's actually measuring your waist at the bellybutton. I bet a lot of you baw's are bigger than that. But I wear a size 34 pants.
