I would agree but LV is common area name that people would recognize. It's in-between Lakewood South and West Lakeview but no one would think of that area if you said "Lakeview".

Ehh... Time to do that was a few years ago. You could still profit if sold today but you wouldn't clear what you could have before Teedy/COVID/Mortgage rate climb.

Agreed.

To me ‘Lakeview’ ends at Ponchartrain Blvd.

This incident occurred at the very western part of the West End neighborhood.

How many hit the intended target?

The normal accuracy is pretty close to 1 in 100 shots. So I'm guessing they didn't hit anything other than non intended targets.

Reading the thread, it was also around those apartments on Veterans, in Orleans, that have been sketchy for a long time.

Which apartments are these? There's quite a bit behind Winn Dixie around Lake and Carrolton but that's Jefferson Parish.

Only in New Orleans will you have citizens passionately arguing about what the actual & perceived borders are of neighborhoods in the city. I learned that quickly in my years living there.

So your biggest gripe with this story is OP’s generalization of the Lakeview area?

Last thing you want is someone besmirching your Uptown exclusivity by trying to sneak their Central City address in.

To them, living near family is more important than living in a safe, low-crime area. That’s the reason why a lot people stay or come back to Louisiana.

People forget that 95% of LA’s population consists of native multigenerational families who grew up in the state. Very few people who live there are transplants from other states.

Meh, look at how that map defines “Uptown.” That doesn’t reflect how most people define areas of the city.

For an Aggie in the woodlands, you sure have a lot to say about Louisiana. Some of it isn’t wrong but it’s pretty strange

Most people are trying to be in a neighborhood they don't live in.

Twinbrook doesn't even exist on that map though. So it is a bit sus.

I wish that map showed the neighborhoods a little further west in Jefferson Parish. It would end the weekly debate about the borders of Old Metairie.

“It’s not Lakeview”

Literally the intersection:

nest

Someone via reddit posted a video you can hear the rounds going off. Sounds like an automatic/switch at points.

Jealous of these frickers going through ammo like that.

I’m just simply re-iterating facts and statistics. That’s all. Very easy to find out with the help of the Internet.

A lot of Louisiana natives on here don’t like to hear bad things about their state if the person saying it is a fan of an LSU rival school. They’ll agree with their own fans that Louisiana is a shithole but when a fan of a rival school says Louisiana is a shithole, they immediately get defensive. It’s very weird.
