Dude who was in a circle of friends, pretty close knit, seemed like a normal or decent enough guy. His girlfriend, sweet beautiful girl from a nice family, broke up with him, maybe some abuse issues. And he gunned her down outside her home and then (thankfully I guess) killed himself. fricking subhuman POS.

When I was a kid, there was a Sunday afternoon poker game at the Donaldsonville Country Club across the river in SW Georgia. For the area and time, it was high stakes cards. The sheriff, judges, lawyers and Indian chiefs...Three masked guys robbed the game one Sunday. They made all the players strip to their underwear; took wallets, car keys, watches, all the money, etc. Pulled the phones out of the walls and left. The high sheriff had to waddle across the road to use the phone to get some clothes and rides home for everyone. News spread far and wide and it was kind of a running joke for many years. They never caught the robbers.

Twenty years later, my wife (no pics) and I became friends with a couple that had a son that was in school with our son. At any rate, over the course of getting to know them, it turned out her father, a prominent attorney in Donaldsonville, was one of the guys that got robbed. She told the story in great detail - it was even more hilarious in her near first hand account.

Three years ago, a friend of mine from high school is home for Christmas visiting his folks. He lives in Fairhope now. We get together for drinks and he tells me about this crazy next door neighbor that is a very colorful character but shady AF. Turns out the neighbor is from an adjacent county in Southeast Alabama where we grew up. He and the neighbor get together for beers and the good herb on occasion and the neighbor tells him all these crazy stories about his former life of crime. Even intimates he was affiliated with the Dixe Mafia. One of the stories he tells my friend is about how he and 2 other guys robbed a poker game over in SW Georgia and made off with about $20K - left the victims in their underwear, etc. Now my friend moved to my hometown in the 8th grade, well before the robbery took place and had never heard that story growing up as I had.

After he told me of the neighbors tale, I said, damn man, "Joe Smith's" father-in-law was one of the guys that got robbed. To this day, none of those guys have a clue who the hell robbed them. Unfortunately, "Joe Smith's" father-in-law had passed before I heard the story about one of the robber's identity. The next time I saw "Joe" and his wife, I shared the story and the name of the perp. Crazy, small world deal.

A rather benign story compared to many of these but I thought it was pretty crazy.

Hahahahahahaha.

I worked with the father of the gf of the Boston marathon bomber. Poor bastard went bankrupt in lawyer fees defending his daughter from prosecution. He is a Dr in Massachusetts. Good dude.
I also worked with the daughter of the Golden State Killer. She's a Dr in California. I remember seeing her on the news talking about how she had the "perfect father".

I know a guy who carried drugs and diamonds from Rio to Dallas every week. He flew first class Varig to Miami then first class Braniff to Dallas. He finally got busted after almost 10 years. He refused to reveal his contacts and did 20 years in a federal prison in Colorado.

I personally know Mike Wade. He used to drive hot shot for me and has been to my house numerous times… I always thought he was a cool dude and was a huge LSU fan. Yet out of nowhere I find that he killed three People in cold blood that the police said was a crime of rage… I just don’t get it. This dude had a fine wife and had a nice house in shannondoah.

I had a beer with him the night he did it.

Guy who got kicked out of my HS, which he claimed was for spitting in a Bible, killed his mom and tried to kill his dad. Got 40 years in Angola.

The house it happened in subsequently sold to an official from LSU and a student ended up outside his house in an attempt to attack him.

Different guy who was asked to leave my HS went to Woodlawn afterward and got tied up in gangs. At some point, everyone went to a park where a fight was supposed to take place and one guy didn’t show, so they beat up one guy and this moron supposedly crushed the guy’s head in with a stone.

Got 2nd degree murder out of it and testified against the other people involved. Given the guy was borderline retarded to begin with, his family probably talked sense into him to plead out.

The case in question ended up going before the US Supreme Court some years back because one of his co-defendants was suing the state over his sentence.

I’d actually been friendly with this guy as a freshman in HS but at some point he decided he didn’t like me and bullied me until he was asked to leave. Got stuck rooming with him at an athletic camp one summer before he was asked to leave and was NOT happy about it. I now say “I roomed for a week with a murderer” when referencing that camp.

Summer between junior and senior year of high school (2001) guy I grew up playing baseball with shot and killed his parents over money, stabbed his sister and left her for dead, then fled to Florida. This was an affluent family in a small town so it was shocking but at the same time this kid was, how do I put this, a white kid that didn't talk white? Apparently he'd been fronted a bunch of coke and cultcha was after him, he asked his parents for the money, they said no, and he tried to kill everybody. He only was stopped because he got in a car wreck in Florida where he also killed another driver, his legs were shattered so he tried to kill himself but the gun jammed. He went to the local public school and I went to the little private school, but he was dating a girl in our class and she used to bring his letters to class and let us read them. We all hoped he'd get shanked but he's survived for over 20 years in prison

Got physically pushed out of a closed door meeting by my HR manager late one evening. I entered and she thought everyone was gone while she was firing someone. (She was a bitch. I was a 20 year old girl at the time). Next day our work gets swarmed by undercover FBI and they walk up to me at teller line and ask where her office is. I gladly point. She gets dragged out. Turns out she hired a hit man to kill her ex so that she wouldn’t have to share her children. She said quote “they’ll get over it.” Heartless.

Friend’s mom met a guy on Tinder. He even slept over at her place a few times. A few months later she found out he was arrested. He was pulled over and they found someone dead in his trunk.

My secretary went on a few dates with this prolific serial killer. This happened right before he got busted. True evil in this world.

I can’t find him in our CRM anymore, it was close to 20 years ago. Anyways one of the employees who interacted with him the most thinks it was spelled Cuccia. Keep in mind he was doing work for the feds, so probably not his real name.

Ryan Sharpe. He’s a serial killer from Central. He would ride the roads of East Feliciana and shoot folks randomly. He killed one of my retired coworkers while he was spraying round up in his front yard . He claimed that he was filling tags that the government gave him .
His dad and my dad worked together for years and were best of friends . I remember taking him hunting /fishing with us when he was 8-10 years old. He’s serving a life sentence or sentences at Angola was the last I’d heard .

In highschool a classmate and friend of mine was found hung in a tree in his yard summer of our jr year. He was african american, and police said suicide. Everyone that knew him, and knew circumstances in the community never accepted suicide. Myself included.. turned into a really big ordeal where jesse jackson came to our small town in southern mississippi. This was in 2000, and ID channel did a special on it a few yrs ago.
