I feel the same way. I added Skittles to my boycott list when I saw a perverted, groomer ad that tells the viewer to “taste the rainbow.”

I'm not a Christian and I consider myself much more of a libertarian than a conservative, but personally I would really consider painting and placing a specific chair to honor the 7.2% of Americans who fit under a specific umbrella of sexualities to be treating it like it's a more special set of values. I think, for me, not having chairs represent sexualities whatsoever would be an environment where "what you believe is no more special than what anyone else believes." ETA: This isn't actually going to stop me from going to Cracker Barrel (not that I've been in one in over 10 years), because I'm not offended by gays or anything, but let's not kid ourselves into believing our society is not disproportionately giving attention to them.

Cracker Barrel is pandering to gay people. Historically, companies wouldn’t pander to a group if it meant upsetting good upstanding Christian folk. Now they no longer care, at least some of the time. So instead of always pandering to Christians, now they only sometimes do. And sometimes they will even pander to groups that Christians oppose. That there’s equality, ladies and gentlemen.

I have eaten at CB across the south and mid west. The male FOH employees are mostly gay. Who cares.

Right. Now they alienate the ones who spend money there - frick them all. I don’t care if you are gay, straight, bi, tri, an it, he/him/she/her/they/them. I just don’t need it forced down my throat.

Oh political activism is now merely a “Colored chair”? You’re so intellectually bankrupt that it’s honestly sad. You don’t even believe your bullshite, you can’t.

Virtually all corporations are pro pride, welcome to capitalism

Well their food went to shite well before they went woke so for me avoiding them is easy.

All those positive comments coming from a bunch of chunky lesbians.
I just don’t understand entering the fray from a corporate standpoint.
I dont eat there often but now I’ll remember this and probably won’t eat there.. what these companies seem to not quite understand. Most of us dont care two shits about gay stuff. We care about sexualizing every facet of our lives. We care that you’re catering to groups not for customers but for virtue signaling and social credit scores.

We have a winner, companies are starting to pander to other groups and the ones that are used to being pandered to are throwing a temper tantrum

I'm not a Christian
So if they're pandering to Christians 50% of the time and to LGBTs 50% of the time then that's not pandering to me at all. Now that's not equality, is it? It's not, and it's certainly not "a world in which what you believe is no more special than what anyone else believes." It's the exact fricking opposite.

Do you feel icky echoing the big corporation's messages?
Posted on 6/8/23 at 7:12 pm to Joshjrn
It's been raining a lot in the afternoons where I live. I keep seeing garbage like what's on those chairs where light hits the water. It's like, why is God not respecting my Christian values? Just because it's June? I can't believe you sheep are still giving him your money.

Wait, are they saying racists and homophobes are welcome? What a horrible thing to say during Pride month.

How am I echoing their message? I just stated a fact.

Do you not agree with the Pride month messaging from all major corporations or are you a transphobe?

Christians of old would laugh at folks claiming persecution over gays being fed pancakes.

You seem to still be missing what I’m trying to convey. Could be my fault, could be yours. Either way, I’m not interested in a fight and would rather go back to reading on my porch. Have a good evening, mate

Well yeah it’s corporations just pandering to a group during their month. Most people don’t care for pride stuff and will continue to buy whatever it was they’re buying. People getting offended are dumb because this is a group that has absolutely been marginalized for a long time and continues to be I mean just look at the morons in this thread saying it’s pedo shite. shite like that is just reminiscent of other minority groups in the past that had to deal with bullshite.
