It’s way past time to stop calling omicron “mild” if we’re being honest. That was probably a big mistake early on from the health experts to do so.

Just wait until the Pi variant gets here in March. Delta and Omicron will look like a cake walk. As long as people REFUSE to get vaccinated the variants will become more virulent and dangerous. We are talking possibly hundreds of millions dead.

I’m surprised all these people are even bothering going get tested over a cold. Box of Kleenex; case of Powerade and a bottle on mucinex will do the job.

I think the zeta variant is going to cause hang nails. 17 boosters required or you'll lose your job.

Using language to fester fear. Says WITH Covid, not BECAUSE of Covid. May have sniffles, but in for a broken pelvis or heart attack.

In the past this wasn’t much of a factor, but with Omicron it will be a huge factor. Most of the people in the hospital with Omicron will only know they have it because the hospital has to check.

Caught a nasty stomach bug Thursday. Was puking then dry heaving for hours. Super dehydrated. Doctor's offices and urgent cares were all closed by this point, so I drove myself to the ER.

When they finally call me in triage, the nurse is asking questions, and a doctor walks in and says "yeah, he's got covid."

I have no symptoms of covid: no cough, no sore throat, no loss of taste or smell, nothing.

He kept on saying I had covid, as I'm wretching into one of those throw up bags they give you.

Instead of immediately giving me something for my extreme nausea, they insist on doing a covid test.

They test me, they give me Zofran.

I go back out into the waiting room, and they are still insisting I have covid.

I finally get a bed, and they start pumping me full of fluids.

My covid test came back negative.

The doctor was shocked.

He still thought I had it. "You may still have it, it's just not showing up as a positive yet "

The whole experience was odd.

The point of this long winded post, is that it was almost like they wanted me to have covid. Or it was one of those "when all you have is a hammer, every problem is a nail" situations.

So just from my experience, I'm taking the whole "there are so many covid patients in the hospital" claims with a grain of salt.

I'm sure it's not pleasant but neither is the flu or step throat or most other illnesses. Still no need to shut down any aspect of the country over it. Covid was never ebola.

It's not. But for me, it's no worse than a cold, with symptoms easily taken care of by OTC medicine. For my wife, it's a cold with minor body aches and a headache, but nowhere near flu level. She's doing better now, after only three days.

I don’t see why everyone is so scared of a shot. Ridiculous. We could have been over this if everyone had stayed home in the beginning and gotten vaccinated as soon as the vaccines were available. But here we are and now it’s too late.

The doctor is irritated because the hospital missed out on Biden Bucks because he didn't test positive.

So the hospitalization with covid went from 0.004322453286% of the population to 0.009703907627% of the population.

For scale purposes, it went from the 1/2 yard line to almost the 1-yard line trying to score on the opposite end of the field. Would you run that play again?
