Covid Cough- What works?

Over Covid, but night time coughing disrupts sleep for hours.
Doctor prescribed the pearls (benzonate) but they don't seem to work.
Do doctors still prescribe narcotics?
What works for you?

I was prescribed Promethazine-codeine syrup and it worked for a little bit. enough to get some sleep.

Haven’t had COVID (but currently have bronchitis) but Ricola cough drops and hot ginger tea with honey has been my go to.

Not sure if I have COVID cough or some other cough but I've been hacking it out on the treadmill.

I took the pearls. After a month of no relief, doctor prescribed an inhaler. Cough lasted for well over 3 months. I emailed my PCP a couple of times after concerned how long cough was lingering. He wasn’t concerned. He said it was normal for CoVid cough to linger for months. He told me to keep doing the inhaler. I did. And, at some point, it went away. But I took months.

I take once a day sinus pills. I try to go as long as I can before having to take one. I've had it since December.

In addition to what is listed by others above,
NAC sustain seemed to help me.
I’ve told other people and seem to feel that it helped them as well.

no idea about the cough but if anyone has a cure for the covid brain fog I’d sure like to hear it. This is misery
