That's such a dumb take anyways. Everyone will die with or without getting it. Unless there's some way to know definitively that these people were going to die on the same exact day even without getting it, it's a dumb and intellectually dishonest argument.
Imagine if we felt that way about everything. Why give the little girl a heart transplant? She could die in a car wreck on the way home from the hospital. I mean that sounds dumb af

Do you even remember what started this? Talking about the FB worriers believing that if they stay home today they will stop the spread, end the shutdown sooner, and save grandma. They have been lead to believe that they are going to lower the total amount of cases by staying home. If an old person gets this today and dies, that old person will have gotten it and died next month too. The government just didn’t want us all getting this at once MAINLY because a hospital at capacity is dangerous for everyone not just the 80 year olds of the world who get covid which is a tiny amount affected by an overrun hospital. Get it???

For maybe a month Or two while she sits at home alone only to die anyway once she eventually gets it. Only now she hasn’t had a hug from her kids or grandkids in months. What a way to go.

That is not my assumption. I’m referring to an old lady who, if she got it today with all of the available care, dies anyway. Her life isn’t being saved but for a little while longer per the governments plan to spread this out. Not for her sake but for all the other people who would need her hospital bed in the meantime.

You could be right if this were a long term policy. Staying away from grandma could save her life for longer than a few months. (Again, this is the old lady who, if infected today, would die in a hospital within weeks. Just to be clear.) Grandma could be left completely alone until a vaccine is available. Is that what you are suggesting?
