Then you are too poor to be on the OT.

Shoo.

That's what I told her -- she has no one to blame but herself. But I'd much rather see the kid living here, where he has lived his entire life (16 years) with a pothead, than going to live in Austin (where his dad lives) with a heroin junkie.
So you are:

1. Allowing your wife to turn you house into some kind of dope den; and,
2. Unwilling to spend the money to help your wife get custody of her child?

Seriously, why are you married to this person and did you have your balls preserved so you can look at them every now and then, or did they just chunk them in the trash?

I am not willing to shell out a $5000 retainer fee to help her, when she was clearly in the wrong.

You can buy a lot of weed with 5K

Would you let her bang a lawyer for representation?

I am not a lawyer I just have been on the step parent end of the deal for 8 years. In and out of court first taking domiciliary custody due to moms marijuana use and now having sole custody with the mom only having 4 hours professionally supervised visits a month. That being said I doubt he failed his test if the deputies came. The father may have a history of use, but your wife tested positive recently. Best thing she can do is submit to whatever program the court orders a remain clean, forever. Slowly hoping to gain back some of her custodial time. Now if he ends up with a positive then..well I pray for the kid.

Yes, she failed her urine test, and I assume that he passed his. However, we doubt that he passed his hair test.

You are literally tanking the value of Chicken's site. This is like allowing a rusted Datsun to park in front of the country club. It isn't done. Go away.

I've never touched a drug in my life. The problem isn't that I don't have the $$; the problem is that I'm not going to spend my hard-earned money on this situation, when she's the one who fricked up. She can use her own money -- of which she has none.

That pussy must be amazing.

You do realize there's plenty of other one's out there right? This one's broken.

Yeah, but at age 40, I just don't feel like going through all the bullshite again. These are the decisions I've made, and I'll live with them.

Look dude....if it ain't your problem, then why are you up at 11 PM posting about it. Maybe you should be spending time helping your wife figure out where she is gonna come up with money for a lawyer? A job? A 2nd Job? What to cut back on?

Seems to me you are hoping for a weasel way out, hoping his drug test comes out worse than hers. I usually am not one to bitch at newbies, but really dude.....you are just showing your ignorance here.

Sounds like the kid might be better off with his dad

I have no advice for you Ronald but wish you the best of luck

Some of the responses in this thread are totally uncalled for and just downright hateful. I hope you people aren't like this IRL

So your thinking is that the judge will decide that a positive hair follicle for heroin is worse than a positive urine for weed? And send the kid back? Doubtful, but I've seen weirder stuff. He might just place the kid with relatives or child services.
