Sitting on my deck drinking shiner watching my green egg temp at 4:30 am and there are two bucks clashing in the woods about 150’ away, can’t see them but the sound in the still and quiet of the night is amazing. Then I hear a huge splash from the lake which is about 300’ away and am wondering was it a striper? Large mouth? Or just a huge catfish flipping over?

That’s a good morning Sarge. I drank a little too much yesterday afternoon so I went to bed wayyyyy too early. Drinking coffee and watching Ryder Cup highlights on the phone while listening to a squirrel and mockingbird try to settle their differences in the back yard.

Good morning. I'm drinking coffee, about to leave to relic hunt. Hoping for a gold coin today! Little cooler weather today is most welcomed!

squirrel and mockingbird

I’ve got a neighbor that daily throws table scraps off her deck for the grey foxes, when the foxes come to get it there’s a mockingbird that swoops down a terrorizes the heck out of them

Guilty of the same here as well. Trying to decide if going fishing is worth it.

Country life is the best life. Suns coming up over the ocean here in Nova Scotia. Plenty of sea smoke ground fog as it cooled off over night.

It’s better than drinking too much and staying up wayyyy too late I guess.

Love Nova Scotia, drove all over it and camped out at the northern point of the Cabot trail and then headed down to Luneburg for a few nights forgive me if I spelled something wrong

How’d you wind up there?

An afternoon buzz and an early bedtime is wonderful compared to a late night

Interesting to watch the hummingbirds, too. They're not up yet, though.

Neighbor gave us a hummingbird feeder but i haven’t put it up yet, that doesn’t stop the hummingbirds from coming up to the deck though. Incredible creatures

On my 2nd cup of coffee, smoker going at 250, sitting on the patio enjoying the weather. Probably less than 30mins before the little ones start waking up

Waiting for the doe and 2 fawns that have been coming by nearly daily
