Before TOPS paid for these kid’s tuition a ton of college guys were in the LA National Guard for Tuition Exemption. I was one of them and I took advantage of it. I’m forever grateful and appreciative for this opportunity. I love Louisiana and my country immensely.

My one lone regret in life is that I never served. All the male members of my family had until me. I sadly screwed around aimlessly for about 4 years after high school until I finally matured and started actually working on my future. Looking back I wish I would have spent at least those first 4 years serving rather than just wasting them.

Misawa, way up north. Was there when USSR shot down KAL-007. It was very tense to get black box, we had some run ins with Russian ships. Air Force brought in F-15 and 16’s, loaded for bear if needed.
