UPDATE: EBR Council on Aging Director Tasha Clark Amar has remove herself as the manager of a deceased client's estate. Trudy Bihm has refused to take over in Clark Amar's place. Dorothy Jackson has removed herself as an attorney for the case.
At first her "statement" she released is that she did nothing wrong. Now she has removed herself? Sounds like she doesn't want anyone digging deeper into this.
How's Gravy spinning it now?

They already did that. That's why they needed more money. They'll frick it up too. In a decade they'll be asking for more money.
I'd imagine the bulk of the increase in budget will go to salaries and benefits.

Running a business and being "the man" is not easy. But are you seriously trying to defend her position here? How difficult is it to see this is a COI? How difficult is it to see that paying yourself $500/month for 20 years to be the executor of her estate is just flat out WRONG?
Your argument needs to be saved for another thread as this is not the one to use it as an example.

Shocking that it took this long for her to remove herself from the will.
ETA: I hope Nakamoto keeps digging.

Hang on...people want to control their own money? Where exactly did that money come from? My guess is not north Baton Rouge.

I wouldn't give a shite about the COA either, except for the fact that the crooked arse person who got caught trying to steal is still going to be the person in charge of that extra $8M/year in taxpayer funding that COA just got

I know, right. I don't give a shite about the COA, but I do care about a crooked arse person trying to steal from a family and a 95 year old woman. They can run the COA into the ground for all I care.
Let's give her the benefit if the doubt and say she did all this in good faith. She still violated the bylaws and ethics code set by the state COA coalition. She needs to be gone for those reasons alone.

She's probably trying to stop it before something else is uncovered.

I copied and pasted that from Fat Gary's FB page.
He's running multi-million dollar companies while getting his car repossessed.

It has jack shite to do with a spotlight, and more to do with common frickin' sense.
Don't break ethics rules. Conflicts of interest are conflicts of interest. It's that simple.
