Most people are, to varying degrees. I'd imagine those responding that they could live in near isolation have never actually done it. I'm a bit of a loner and generally prefer being by myself, but living in a town where I knew nobody was lonely and depressing.

no way. I am way too extroverted and I get all of my energy from being around people.
