Could. Wouldn't want to though.

I look at modern technology as a blessing and not a curse though.

It is a blessing. Most people just prefer to abuse it

If I could at least have a regular house phone I could. Hell I didn’t even have a smart phone till 2015. Got my first internet in 2009 in my late 20s, I’d be fine.

ETA: Only reason I don’t have a flip phone is because my wife hates the way I text back on them. And she can’t send me videos and very good pictures

Real question: Are you a mega hipster?

I feel like you probably tell everyone about how long you held out on getting the internet and how your wife is the only reason you have a smart phone. You know the kind of person that inconveniences himself just to tell people how they go against the grain of societal norms.

You could also be a normal guy that doesn't need tech and thats cool too i guess.

edit: This is how I picture you:

I would bet most who say they could wouldn't he able to.

The world has changed. Cell phones, internet, etc have become ubiquitous in our lives. It would be a complete lifestyle change. It would be no different a struggle than losing weight or quitting smoking.

This would require a long adjustment period that I think most people would struggle with. Especially the sample size of this website that would probably be heavier than normal phone/internet users.

No. It looks like it will get cold in the winter.

Give me a tropical beach and unlimited access to books and I’ll say yes.

The real problem would be getting me to leave after that year is up...

No desire to. I need civilization.

Getting away to some place like that for a couple weeks in the summer would be nice....but not long term.

Also I hate fishing and don’t hunt so I would be bored to tears at some point over the year.

I don’t see many women saying yes to your scenario tbh.

You’d be wrong on all accounts. I never told anyone, people would comment on why I had a flip phone and I’d say something like it being cheaper or whatever. I’m pushing 40, so no not a hipster. My attire is usually jeans, steel toe boots, and white t shirts with a baseball hat so I don’t know if I look like that guy or not. I’ve never had anyone remotely say anything to me about being a hipster or attention seeker. This is an anonymous message board for the most part, hence why I’d comment here instead of other places on these topics.

That’s a picture of every white male liberal. That’s exactly how they all look and that’s a fact that cannot be disputed.

Easily.

Wouldn’t need a tv.

Radio would be nice though.

House looks nice, but I'd need to see the view first. That could be a pond with a trailer park on the other side.
