I most likely couldn't get through one McDonald's meal in 36 Hours, so no.

That's an incredible amount of food for anyone to eat in 36 hours. No way he eats it all

I could barely eat $1,000 worth of McDonald's in 36 months.

Seriously, if you take out alcohol and really expensive items (caviar, lobster, etc) I'd struggle to get to 1000 in a prime steakhouse

Even with 60-100 dollar cuts of beef and 20 dollar orders of sides/potatoes, that would be a legit challenge

that's a fair point, too

even if you ate $100 steaks, you'd still have to eat 10 of them in 36 hours

I know right

Depending on the place, maybe I could get to a situation where you could knock it out in the equivalent of 5-6 meals over 36 hours, especially with the most expensive allowable sides and additions to the steaks

But even then, you're talking about huge ribeyes and porterhouses and shite, I don't think I could pull it off

No airports, but is the location chosen by me? A Big Mac is nearly $8 in Switzerland. If I have to stay in the US, it looks like DC is the most expensive place (I assumed Hawaii or Alaska) so I'd go eat there. Still doubt I could do it. It would take a lot of pre-planning to map out which items are the best to eat and which are the worst (I'd say Big Macs aren't good because of the extra piece of bread) using some sort of "volume or weight of food per dollar" formula. But for the odds, it's not worth it.

i have eaten 2 lbs of steak multiple times in my life. that's approximately 2 of these steaks (ribeye...obviously in this challenge you'd go 100% filet). i'd have to do that FIVE times...in a day and a half?

no way, Jose

1000 double cheeseburgers. That's one every 2 mins. That would absolutely destroy your body

I haven't done exact math but I'm guessing on average a $5 meal at McDs is about 1000 calories.

That's 200,000 calories to consume in 36 hours.

No. fricking. way.

Another angle...let's say that $5 worth of food weighs about a pound on average.

So you'd have to consume 200 pounds of food in 36 hours, only able to puke once???

I would have to eat my body weight and 20 extra pounds in a day and a half.

This is literally impossible.

That is a death sentence. No way anyone could consume that much in 3 days. I think I could eat a lot of McNuggets but not make a dent of $1000. 20 Pc. is $5.00 according to https://www.fastfoodmenuprices.com/mcdonalds-prices/

No way I could eat 100-120 pieces in that amount of time.

Would take me a month.

36 hours might be able to be done by a guy like Joey chestnut.

I'm trying to think how you'd do this. I could probably only do $50/75 in 36 hours but if I was going to attempt you'd want the most inefficient meals so that's breakfast and deserts right? Aren't those more expensive? Plus, you'd want order things a la carte cause isn't that more expensive that way?

Not to mention ad ons like bacon and extra cheese

With steak you'd need to go for the bone in cuts and green sides.

I'd definitely give that challenge a go.
