Do you know how much water we would Need to pump to drop global sea levels 1”?

I did not, so I ran the numbers.

There are 2.4 * 10^15 gallons in the top one inch of the oceans.

The keystone pipeline moves about 40,000,000 gals/day.

So, it would take 167,000 years for keystone to move the top 1”.

Interestingly, if spread out over Antarctica, it would only be a depth of two feet

Prevent rising water levels

So to prevent rising sea levels, you want to manufacture more frozen water and... put it in the sea?

Sure, I don't see why not, but will they melt and break off? Because they can take video of that to use to scare people into thinking its all going to shite if we don't start using plastic straws.

They likely evaporate from the re-entry heat before turning into hail or rain.

But it seems to be pointless...

Evaporative cooling works. Rooftop surface area is inefficient but evaporative cooling is a real thing.

So you're going to stand outside in the hot sun and power water on your roof to cool the house that you're not occupying?

I didn't say it was practical, just that it works.

You can do the same thing on your condensing coils outside on your A/C system and improve the efficiency. Just have to make sure the costs of water is not too expensive.

This idea brought to you from people who stand on their roof with a water hose to cool the inside off.

well, you would go inside after you hose it off

Not to mention why the need to get on the roof? Just spray the top of it from the ground

spot on here though, climbing on the roof would be silly

When the politicians pushing this garbage quit buying beachfront real estate and actually start giving a crap about the fact that China is ramping up greenhouse gas emissions faster than we are reducing them, then I’ll pay attention.

What keeps us from pumping sea water into controlled damns and freezing it to create man made icebergs?
