I've seen old videos of NFL games when someone gets their bell rung really good and they are in the twilight zone on the sidelines and then a trainer puts a smelling salts under their nose and then WAMMO! The neck snaps back and all the sudden they are back on earth.

You don't see the smelling salts used much anymore and maybe it's because they don't actually erase the affects of the concussion...just put a bandaid on it (if you will).

Now..why aren't scientists working to create some stronger smelling salts that could actually reverse the affects? I mean they are half way there.

If they would be strong enough to reverse your brain defect, I am all for it.

Why don't we have pain killers that can staunch the bleeding of a torn off arm/leg?

nope, can't do it

one cannot smell themselves back from a concussion.

rest, nutrition, water, and possibly a hyperbaric chamber may help.
